بعض الناس يعتقدوا إنّ قول "جزاك الله خيرًا" هو لفظ خاص بالمُستقيمين وأصحاب اللِّحى والنقاب .. النّبي عليه الصّلاة والسّلام يقول في الحديث: "من صُنِعَ إليه معروفٌ فقال لفاعله: جزاك الله خيرًا، فقد أبلغ في الثناء". - رواه سنن الترمذي (2035)، وصحّحه الألباني. يعني هذا دُعاء جامع يحمل كل معاني الشّكر، فقد أبلغ في الثناء، أي بالغ في أداء شكره. يعنى من بعد المنشور هذا بدِّل كلمة شكراً و صحّيت بقول "جزاك الله خيرًا".
