استاد جعفر مینایی هنرمند مهابادی در سن ۸۴ سالگی درگذشت. استاد مینایی سال ۱۳۲۰ شمسی در مهاباد به دنیا آمد و در سال ۱۳۴۱ در هنرستان عالی موسیقی در تبریز به تحصیل فراگیری موسیقی مشغول شد. سال ۱۳۴۴ در اداره آموزش و پرورش مهاباد به عنوان مدرس موسیقی مشغول شد و سال ۱۳۷۵ بازنشست شد و این بار در آموزشگاه خصوصی به آموزش موسیقی مشغول شد. مرحوم مینایی با هنرمندانی همچون محمد ماملی، حسن زیرک عزیز شاهرخ، میکاییل، جمال مفتی، …
