‏قال ابن القيم -رحمه الله-: إذا أحسست بثقل عند قراءة القرآن؛ فاعلم أن هناك ذنبًا جثم على قلبك، فأشغلك عن كتاب الله، وجعل قلبك يتفلت منك، فجاهد نفسك واستمر، وأكثر من الاستغفار، لأن القلب إذا طَهُرَ لم يشبع من كلام الله سبحانه. قال عثمان -رضي الله عنه-: " لو طهرت قلوبكم ما شبعت من كلام ربنا. " الداء والدواء (٥٤٦).
