why would even stealing umbilical cord of a baby matter that we are arguing over the way its done even by a beak or tooth

They functionally serve the same purpose In this instance for example you could use both teeth and beaks in order to steal the umbilical cord of a baby seal. It's very much the right tool for the job. I'd argue it's better than teeth since it offers more reach and therefore snatchablity
