مصيبتنا في شحّ القدوات وغياب الرموز مصيبة عظيمة، كان من أسبابها بروز التافهين ليحلّوا محلهم، حتى دنت همم الناس لهممهم، فصار غاية ما يريد الناشئ أن يصير "مشهورًا".
تأتي فترة ذهبية على الإنسان يشعر أن الله قد فتح له فيها من البركة في الوقت، وحسن العمل ما يود لو يستمر حاله إلى نهاية عمره. ويبقى الكرم الإلهي يتنزل عليه حتى يقع فيما حرَّم الله، فيرجع من جديد ليعاني الحبو بعد أن وصل إلى الهرولة! كم أن الإنسان في أفعاله ناقص عقل! يقترف الذنب ويعلم أنه لذة عابرة ستغلق له كثيرا من أبواب الخير فيفعله ويعرضُ!
