Shaykh al-Islâm ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said about the intention: To pronounce it is a Bid’ah. For the Prophet ﷺ, his Sahâbah and the Tâbi’în, it is not transmitted from any one of them that they spoke the intention with pronunciation. Not concerning Salâh, purification, or fasting. Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله تعالى said: "Non-Maharrim (men and women) can't be trusted, even if they are those who possess the greatest Taqwa, for indeed hearts change rapidly and Shaytan is always lurking.
