روى الإمامُ البُخاريُّ ( ١٨٩٠ ) عن أسلمَ، عن عُمَرَ رضي اللهُ عنه قال: "اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْني شهادةً في سبيلِكَ، واجْعَلْ موتي في بلَدِ رسولِكَ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ". قال الحافظُ ابنُ حَجَرٍ في "فتحِ الباري" ( ٥ / ٢٠٨ ): "..وفيه إشارةٌ إلى حُسنِ الخِتامِ؛ فنسألُ اللهَ تعالى أن يختمَ لنا بالحُسنى، وأن يُعِينَ على خَتمِ هذا الشَّرحِ، ويرفعَنا به إلى المحلِّ الأسنى، إنَّه على كلِّ شيءٍ قديرٌ".

رحم اللهُ شيخَ الإسلامِ ابنَ تيميَّةَ إذ يقولُ: "الرَّافضةُ أُمَّةٌ مخذولةٌ، ليس لهم عقلٌ ولا نقلٌ، ولا دينٌ صحيحٌ، ولا دُنيا منصورةٌ". ورحمَ اللهُ تِلميذَهُ ابنَ قيِّمِ الجوزيَّةِ إذ يقولُ: "ولقد أصبحَ هؤلاءِ عارًا على بني آدمَ، وضُحكةً يَسخَرُ منهم كلُّ عاقلٍ".
