إن الدين الحقيقي لايستطيع أن يماشي الدولة طويلاً، فطبيعته المثالية الصاعدة تحفزه على الإفتراق عن الدولة عاجلاً أم آجلاً، ومعنى هذا أن القرآن والسيف متناقضان. فإن اتحدا وبقيا على اتحادهما كان ذلك دليلاً على وجود عيب في أحدهما. فلابد للسيف أن يتنازل عن قسوته أو يتنازل القرآن عن ثورته. وإذا خرج أحدهما عن طبيعته انقلب إلى شيء آخر. د.علي الوردي.

ان الخوف من تفرق الكلمة او تحريك الفتنة نلاحظه فى جميع ما يكتبه وعاظ السلاطين وقد نسى هؤلاء ان جميع السلاطين الذين يدعون الى طاعتهم جاءوا عن طريق تحريك الفتنة وتفريق الكلمة. د. علي الوردي
