Учёные ИСиЭЖ СО РАН опубликовали статью о строении черепа скальных полёвок рода Alticola. Используя ортогональное разложение изменчивости по методу Фишера, они разделили общую вариабельность 15 краниометрических признаков (311 особей, 12 видов) на межвидовую (44,32%) и внутривидовую (55,68%) компоненты.
