It's my mission that Ohio be the most military-friendly state in the nation. Today, I sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, encouraging her to select Ohio for the U.S. Coast Guard's next training site.

Preliminary numbers from #OSHP show that the number of traffic fatalities in Ohio dropped for the fourth year in a row. The fact that more people have made it home to their families is certainly worth celebrating, but make no mistake -- the number of people killed on Ohio's roads remains far too high. Everyone has a role in making our roads safer, and we all have more work to do.

In November 2025, DCY implemented payment category reforms. The Department updated part-time hours from seven hours per week to 10 hours per week and full-time hours from 25 hours per week to 33 hours per week to ensure the full needs of the family were met by one provider whenever possible.
