This is a reconstruction of building D2 at the Anglo-Saxon settlement of Yeavering. It is widely agreed to be a pagan temple or shrine room which the early English called a weoh or hearg. Archeologists discover Heathen temple in Norway Archeologists working for the University Museum of Bergen have discovered the remains of a Pagan temple at Ose farm, Ørsta. This is the first time such a house of worship has been found in Norway. The remains of temple are dated to the early Iron Age. Besides the house of worship, several other structures have been unearthed.
