Piprahwa (Kapilvastu) is a Buddhist stupa where the relics of Lord Buddha were enshrined. It is one of the eight stupas where Buddha's relics were distributed. Buddha spent the first 29 years of his life in Kapilvastu before renouncing worldly life. He later returned here as a monk.
