早在1980年代，我曾给著名科幻作家阿西莫夫博士写过一封信。我从没奢望能得到答复，结果他给我写了整整四页的回信，里面包含了一些我收到过的最好的写作建议。 信中有一条内容我至今记忆犹新，我把它命名为“阿西莫夫的尾巴”。阿西莫夫博士告诉我，如果你要写一个角色在第120页运用尾巴战胜了对手，那写到20页的时候，这条尾巴就应该被人有意或无意踩到过。 source

说实话，我对ABO小说世界的最大意见就是，它的整个设定都像是在照搬我们现有社会的传统性别角色。也许有人就是很热切的想读“耽美版本的异性恋恋爱”，但我并不想！我想读AA恋！我想读OO恋！这才是我想读的东西！请你们快多写一点双A或者双O的文吧！ source

我大学老师给出的写作建议 —— 1. 如果你角色之间的对话读来太过平铺直叙： 假装你的角色并不愿意直接地说出自己心中所想，然后重写一遍；就像现实生活中很多人不可能直接说“我很生气”，Ta们会用其它方式来发泄自己的怒气。 2. 如果你不喜欢你新写好的章节： 不要参考写好的草稿，完全凭借自己的记忆重写一遍；这样，你重写的章节里只会出现你记忆中觉得重要的主干部分，所有其它的细节都可以重新处理。我有一位老师是剧作家，Ta的每一幕剧本都是按照这种方式写的。 3. 不要过分使用比喻： 比喻应当用在刀刃上，否则很容易成为无谓的滥用。 4. 以每一个主要角色的视角写一份“内心独白”： 每次写到这个角色的时候，注意这个角色的所作所为必须符合这份“内心独白”。 source

我在高中的时候写过一个故事，讲的是星际旅行的“中间一代”。这是在飞船上出生，最终也必将一辈子困在飞船上的一代人。这一代人没有见过蓝天，没有见过海滩，没有见过草原。这一代人没有听过鸟鸣，没有听过蝉鸣，没有听过蛙鸣，也没有听过雨点拍打屋顶的声音。 我想给我的故事写一个圆满的结局，但我不知道该怎么写。事后看我写的这个故事，我发现一切都很明显，我是在写我自己和我的抑郁症，但当时我一点都没有发现。 在我的故事里，“中间一代”非常迷茫，对什么都提不起兴致。对飞船来说，“中间一代”唯一起到的作用就是继续飞行，给飞船生育下一代的年轻人，然后在飞船上去世。成年后的“中间一代”自杀率节节上升，很多“中间一代”走上了吸毒和犯罪的道路。这是无法找到自己的意义的一代人。 在我的故事里，有一小群“中间一代”聚集了起来，发起了一个“生态计划”。Ta们在飞船里建造起了花园，用DNA技术重新培育出了很多小动物。Ta们把冰冷无情的金属飞船打造成了自己的家园。…
