معلومة بتأريخ الـ 3 من أيلول 2003، قامت سلطة التحالف بتأسيس قوة قوامها 15 الف جنديًا، مُقسمين على 18 كتيبة، تحت مُسمى "فيلق الدفاع المدني" وكأختصار له كان يطلق عليه ICDC، وكان تابعًا لوزارة الداخلية. عام 2004 وتحديدًا تأريخ 20 حُزيران، تم تعزيز القوة بمقاتلين آخرين لتصبح 20 كتيبة تضم 40 الف مقاتل و تتغير التسمية الى "الحرس الوطني" ING، وتحويلهم الى وزارة الدفاع. ايضًا كان الجيش العراقي مؤسسًا منذ عام 2003، لكن كان …
