Today I had a pleasure (not really) getting to think about how far should I go in supporting Safari.
At some point I found this which basically quoted:
Safari is the baseline in terms of web standards: The sites we develop must work in Safari versions at least 2 years old.
Which somehow resulted in aiming at Safari 13.1.2 with ended support in 2020 but some users still on it.
Boy, did I suffer. I'm usi…

Wow, this is golden 10/10 🔥

Your personal AI code roasting tool. Been throwing it a few snippets from online and it comes back with pretty nasty, but also fair feedback.
It can also come with a good feedback where it ll be like "huh, well I'm impressed and surprised, good job" 😂
I guess my PR reviews will get to a new level with this 😈

What's all the hype around ditching typescript recently?

Like how is it surprising to some that with type safety you gonna spent more time with what some refer as "type gymnastics" to simplify your life in the future? 🤔

Lexical.
A completely different approach, super flexible, but also quite complex compared to megadraft. Yet it gives you everything you need, mentions, hashtags, custom plugins, you name it. UI is also "up to you".
Now it makes me think - megadraft is 20 min plug and play solution, lexical is better long term for scalability. Gotta really analyse which one to pick (quick dev…

All of the above are also valid QR codes. Some people asked me to share more on that - there you go then 😂
First of all this images are from qrbtf - a service that attempts to automate this whole process. You can jump in and try to generate yours quickly with some prompts. The only thing it won't let you change url the QR points to as the whole system is still WIP.
But all they do under the …

Speaking of QR codes.
Image above is a totally valid QR code. Had a bit of playing with stable diffusion over the weekend.
Might take a bit to get recognised by a scanner, but that's the balance it's tricky to keep (recognisability vs making it non-obvious).
This AI stuff is hyped for a reason guys 🔥

Incredibly large selection of hooks for whatever you need.
Anything from useless useRenderCount - cuz you should use browser tooling to properly track unnecessary renders, to handy useDebounce, useFetch or usePrevious.
Last one is quite a help in function components where you dont get prev values out of the box like with some lifecycle methods in class components.

Showing the 12 most recent of 16 posts we hold for @thefrontend. View and reaction counts are the latest single reading for each post, not a live figure, and a recent post is still accumulating both. A view count marked ≈ was rounded by Telegram before we ever saw it — t.me prints views in full below 1,000 and to three significant figures above, so ≈1,200,000 means somewhere between 1,150,000 and 1,249,999. Unmarked counts are exact. Text is reproduced from the public post preview and truncated for length.
