Чтобы сообщение не сжималось и располагалось после текста, есть хитрость — использовать бота @ControllerBot. Вы подключаете бота в канал и создаете сообщение с его помощью — отправляете боту сначала текст, потом картинку, а он публикует готовое сообщение в канале. Тогда к тексту прикрепится предпросмотр изображения с голубой линией сбоку, и сообщение будет стандартной ширины.
