✈️ Air Canada Home We are finally coming home. Seems the Barcelona airport is gently air conditioned so I’m happy to be on an Air Canada with the AC pumping. We are flying home Business (J) class which is always nice when returning tired and ready for home. When it is a day flight that always maximizes the experience. So I’m settled in and have already started Scream 7.

🏨 Ending our Vacation in Spain with a Spain win. We were fortunate enough to be in Spain, Barcelona to be exact, during the FIFA World Cup final. Our hotel also happens to be next to a huge plaza where many fans congregated after the win so we went to check it out.

🚢 8 days later… We have disembarked the Valiant Lady after a quickie breakfast at the Indian restaurant. Thankfully it is only 30°in Barcelona so it was quite comfortable waiting for a taxi. 🚢 Ariya for dinner… Indian. Some of the dishes we had tonight were the best on the ship. The chicken 65 was fabulous. The lamb shank was huge, tender and delicious. And the desserts we got even though we were incredibly full… a cheesecake with Gulab Jamun… and a very good chocolate cake.

🚢 Palermo, Italy Our last stop of the cruise, one more sea day and we will be back on dry land… We are in Palermo on the island of Sicily. It was just a high of 36º, and we felt it as we walked the streets. The city is much busier than Catania which seemed almost like a ghost town. 🏖️ Gunbae - the Korean BBQ These restaurants are always a crap shoot, they are shared up to 8 people at a table. We are now 2 for 2! Last year we had a fun table and this year was great also! 🍽️ Pasta in Sicily We timed it right. We were sweaty. We were hot. But we were ready for pasta. I had found a well rated place somewhat off the beaten path called Spaghetti & Co. And we also beat the rush thankfully because it got pretty full while we were there. I had the delicious spaghetti with citrus and butter. Simple and delicious.

🍽️ Delizia al Limone Our friend told us to make sure we checked out the dessert: Delizia al Limone. It was the first thing we tasted and I really enjoyed it. It is a creamy lemony cake.
