قال : الإمام محمد بن عبد الوهاب رحمه الله العبـادة لا تُسمى عبادة إلا مع التـوحيد كما أن الصلاة لا تُسمى صلاة إلا مع الطهارة فإذا دخل الشرك في العبادة فســدت

عن أسامة بن زيد قال : " قلت يا رسول الله، لم أرك تصوم من شهر من الشهور ما تصوم من شعبان، قال : ذلك شهر يغفل عنه الناس بين رجب و رمضان، و هو شهر ترفع فيه الأعمال إلى رب العالمين، فأحب أن يرفع عملي و انا صائم"

مـاذا يصـنع السـلف في شـعبان ؟ كان حبيب بن أبي ثابت إذا دخل شعبان قال : " هذا شهر القُرّاء " . وكان عمرو بن قيس الملائي إذا دخل شعبان أغلق حانوته، وتفرغ لقراءة القرآن . قال سلمة بن كهيل : " كان يقال شهر شعبان، شهر القُرّاء " وكان الحسنُ بن شهيل رحمه الله يُكثر فيهما مِن قراءة القرآن ؛ ويقول : " ربِّ جعلتني بين شهرين عظيمين ".
