شرط استفاده از میلگردهای بتن مسلح به عنوان هادی پایین رو سیستم حفاظت صاعقه ۱- پیوستگی الکتریکی به گونه ای که اتصالات میلگردهای عمودی بصورت جوش باشند (با همپوشانی حداقل ۲۰ برابر قطر میلگردها) ۲- با تست پیوستگی مقاومت الکتریکی بین بالاترین نقطه ساختمان و سطح زمین کمتر از ۰/۲ اهم باشد (اندازه گیری با دستگاه ۴ پراب و جریان حدود ۱۰ آمپر). در صورت عدم رعایت هر دو شرط فوق لازم است هادی پایین رو نصب گردد.
