nafsu tidak pernah benar-benar kenyang dengan “lebih”. Sebab selepas mendapat apa yang dia mahu, dia akan mencipta kehendak baru. Sebab itu kadang-kadang Allah bukan perlu menambah apa yang kita ada Allah mengajar hati kita melihat betapa banyaknya yang sudah ada.
Allah beri cukup, tapi nafsu mahu lebih Gaji/pendapatan cukup untuk keperluan, masih ada makanan, tempat tinggal, kesihatan dan orang yang membantu. Tapi hati berkata: “Kenapa aku tak kaya macam orang lain?” Pada mata nafsu, “cukup” nampak kecil. Padahal kalau dilihat dengan syukur, Allah sedang memberi sesuatu yang sangat besar: keperluan hidup yang terjaga.
Kita fikir: “Kenapa duit aku tak banyak?” Padahal mungkin Allah sedang memberi rezeki yang tidak boleh dibeli dengan duit —kesihatan, masa, orang yang baik, perlindungan daripada hutang yang lebih besar, hati yang masih mampu bersyukur, atau jalan hidup yang membawa kita kepada sesuatu yang jauh lebih sesuai. Sebab itu kurniaan Allah kadang-kadang datang dalam pakaian yang kita tidak suka.
Kadang-kadang kurniaan Allah nampak kecil pada mata kita sebab kita masih mengukur dengan ukuran hawa nafsu.
kadang-kadang hati kita bertanya, “Ya Allah, kenapa Kau tak beri apa yang aku mahu?” jawapannya mungkin: “Kerana apa yang Aku sedang berikan kepadamu jauh lebih besar daripada apa yang kau minta.”
Kita minta ketenangan, tetapi Allah tidak terus menghilangkan masalah. Sebaliknya Dia beri hati yang tetap tenang walaupun masalah masih ada.
Kita mahu duit yang banyak, tetapi Allah beri rezeki yang cukup, kesihatan, masa, dan hati yang tidak lagi diperhambakan oleh duit.
kurniaan Allah memang jauh lebih besar daripada apa yang hawa nafsu manusia mampu bayangkan.
kita menyangka Allah sedang menahan sesuatu daripada kita, padahal Dia sedang menyelamatkan kita daripada sesuatu yang kita sendiri belum nampak.
