كيس الدم “مُفلتر” يعني أنه تم تمرير الدم عبر فلتر خاص لإزالة أغلب كريات الدم البيضاء قبل نقله للمريض. الفائدة: يقلّل خطر الحمّى بعد نقل الدم. يخفّف احتمال ردود الفعل المناعية. يقلّل انتقال بعض الفيروسات المرتبطة بالكريات البيضاء. مهم لمرضى نقل الدم المتكرر، ومرضى السرطان، وزراعة الأعضاء. الخلاصة: يتم “تصفية” دم المتبرع قبل إعطائه للمريض ليكون أكثر أمانًا وأقل مضاعفات.
