ذكر لي إدوارد سعيد في صيف عام 1983م، عندما كنت في زيارته في جامعة كولومبيا حيث يعمل هناك أستاذاً للأدب الانكليزي والأدب المقارن، عبارة يخيل لسامعها بداية أنها عابرة لكنها غير ذلك تماماً، إذ قال «إنهم لا يحبوننا». قلت له حتى لو كان العربي متميزاً بل ومتفوقا عليهم لغة وفكراً وثقافة مثل إدوارد سعيد؛ فأجاب: «أنا شوكة في حلوقهم». .. محمد شاهين - حول مشكلات ترجمة الأدب العربي
عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((التمسوا الساعة التي تُرجى في يوم الجمعة بعد العصر إلى غيبوبة الشمس)). جمعة مباركة؛ لا تنسونا من دعواتكم الفاضلة.
كانت لنا جارة عفيّة متجبرة سيئة الخلق، وكانت معمّرة مات لها أحفاد كبار، لدرجة أننا لعشرات السنين احترنا كيف ومتى يمكن أن تقبض روح كهذه. قبل فترة وصلني أخيرا خبر وفاتها، فأحسست بانتصار صغير منحه القدر للعالم بأن أخلاه منها.
عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((التمسوا الساعة التي تُرجى في يوم الجمعة بعد العصر إلى غيبوبة الشمس)). جمعة مباركة؛ لا تنسونا من دعواتكم الفاضلة.
دعواتكم أن يرفع الله عني همّي وحزني وغُمّة قلبي وسيء أفكاري، وأن يرزقني الرضا والقبول والسداد في سائر أمري.
كالأطفال الصغار عُدتُ أشتهي كلّ شيءٍ مُحلّىً مُسكّرًا. وصفات الأكل التي بالملح أبدِلُه سُكّرًا. للحلويات تغلغلٌ في ذاكرتي أأتنسُ به. حذرني الطبيب أنا وطفلي معًا من كثرة أكل السكريات، ومثلي مثل طفلي لم يردعنا تحذيره. يطاردني وعيدُ أمّي منذ طفولتي، وأنا أتحين نبوءتها؛ "ستكون نهايتك على يد ما تشتهيه". أفكر: هل قد يكون طعم الموت حلوًا؟ أريد أن تكون نهايتي - يا أمي- لذيذة المذاق. #إحماءات
