Жуковский и потерянные кони Историю о Нале и Дамаянти читают все, кто изучает санскрит. Как правило по хрестоматии Ланмана. Она также есть в легендарном учебнике Кочергиной. Это одна из многочисленных вставочных историй Махабхараты. Пересказывать её не буду:) Понятно, что про любовь:) На русский язык первый перевод сделан Жуковским. Санскрита он не знал. Это кусочек Махабхараты, написанный как курица лапой мной в рамках изучения санскрита. Мои кракозябры вполне читаемы. Их понимает даже распознаватель текста! Странно выглядит деванагари? Как будто бельё разных калибров и размеров свисает с палки. Горизонтальная линия с которой свисают буквы так и называется на санскрите - данда, то есть палка!
