La ginestra e' una pianta che cresce anche nei terreni aridi. I suoi gambi sono flessibili, ma resistenti alle intemperie. Anticamente veniva usata in fasci per spazzare il pavimento e questo uso e' in tono con una delle proprieta' della pianta che e' quella di essere depurativa.
