Сегодня в Рейкьявике закупили газ, недостающие мелочи, перепаковали рюкзаки в походный режим. Завтра оставим лишнюю одежду и обувь в отеле и прямо в лыжных ботинках идём на автобус, единственный рейс в том направлении за день. Очень симпатичные чешские лыжницы и лыжники. У нас тут даже чемпионат ретро-лыжников ежегодно проводят.
Ушуршали в Исландию, самолёт рано утром из Вены, сейчас по дороге туда. Сегодня про Esjufjöll, примечательный вулкан высотой 1760 метров. Это классический нунатак — таким эскимосским словом называют скалу, со всех сторон окружённую ледником. Этот вулкан при любом раскладе мы посетим первым, он находится ближе всего к точке нашего выхода на ледник Ватнайокудль.
