پس #اسپیرولینا پس از برداشت دارای رطوبت بسیار بالاست و آنزیمهای داخلی و فعالیت میکروبی میتونن بهسرعت باعث تخریب ترکیبات ارزشمند مانند فیکوسیانین، کلروفیل و برخی ویتامینها بشن به همین دلیل باید فرآیند خشککردن: در زمان کوتاه انجام بشه. دما کنترلشده داشته باشه( نه زیاد و سریع). جریان هوای مناسب برقرار بشه . محصول از نور مستقیم و آلودگی محافظت بشه.
