Последняя борьба за независимость или всё ещё впереди? Опираясь на историю русских завоеваний 16 века известно, что даже невзирая на объединённые силы Ивана Грозного и позже преемника Бориса Годунова, наших предков было сложно победить. Причиной неуязвимости марийских воинов стали партизанские методы борьбы, которые были эффективнее и мобильнее правительственных и незамотивированных войск. Есть над чем задуматься.

Пленение Мамич-Бардея Черный день в истории луговых мари - это захват сотенного князя - Мамич-Бердея в 1556 г Пленение Мамич-Бердея переломило ход Первой Черемисской войны (1552-1557 гг.) и усилило Московское царство во главе Ивана IV Грозного. Мамич-Бердея пленили только благодаря предательству. На фреске Мамич-Бердей обведен красным овалом.
