مر النبي ﷺ بعبد الله بن مسعود -رضي الله عنه- وهو في حالة من الهم والحزن، فوقف ليواسيه ويعلمه درساً عظيماً في التوكل. قال له النبي ﷺ: «لا تُكثِر هَمَّكَ؛ ما يُقدَّر يَكُن، وما تُرزَق يأتِك».

كثير من الأحيان لا تدري ما الذي يصلحك، وما الذي يكون نافعا لك! لذلك كان من دعاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؛ "يا حي يا قيوم برحمتك أستغيث أصلح لي شأني كله ولا تكلني إلى نفسي طرفة عين." فالله عليم، حي قيوم، يدبر الأمر. ليس بجاهك أو حَولك. بل بحول الله وقوته.
