عندما ننظر إلى شهادة الإمام الحسين (عليه السلام)، فالحكم الأوّليّ والمتّصل بالأفق القصير المدى هو «فإنّ الدنيا بعدك مظلمة»، لكنْ بالالتفات إلى النتائج البعيدة المدى لهذه الحادثة ذاتها نرى أنّه لو لم تكن هذه الشهادة وذلك الفداء، لأصبح العالم كلّه مظلماً بفقدان القرآن ونور الإسلام. الإمام الشهيد القائد الخامنئي
