به عنوان پدر و مادر لازم است اصول یکسانی داشته باشيم حداقل در جلوی کودکان وانمود کنيم که در تربيت آنان هماهنگيم. اگر رفتاری را پدر تاييد می کند و مادر رد، باعث تعارض کودک می شود پس بهتر است به عنوان والدين قبلا با يکديگر هماهنگ باشيم و حداقل در جلوی کودکان عدم هماهنگيمان را بروز ندهيم.

والدينی كه زود عصبانی ميشوند، تحمل کمی دارند، انتظار دارند همه چيز طبق خواسته آنها پيش برود.از كودك توقعات غير واقعی دارند،ناكامی های خود را بر سر ديگران خالی ميكنند و به مجازات كردن و تنبيه كردن اعتقاد دارند. معمولا باعث آزار فيزيکی ، روانی، كلامی، يا عاطفی فرزند خود ميشوند. اين كودكان معمولا مضطرب هستند و مهارتهای اجتماعی ضعيفی دارند. (خجالتی و مضطرب يا جنگجو و پرخاشگر) ودر آينده به افسردگی مبتلا خواهند شد.
