سُمّي القلب بهذا الاسم لأنه يتقلب من حينٍ لآخر ولا يثبت على حال ، لذلك كان رسول الله ﷺ يكثر من هذا الدعاء ويقول : يا مثبت القلوب ثبت قلبي على طاعتك .. آمين.
