Подозрительные дроны заметили над базой Bundeswehr с системами Patriot. Над военным объектом в Мехернихе, где обслуживают и ремонтируют системы ПВО Patriot, за одну ночь зафиксировали шесть пролётов неизвестных беспилотников. Прямой поезд ICE Берлин — Париж отменён на неопределённый срок. Deutsche Bahn временно убрала прямой ICE между Берлином и Парижем из расписания из-за технических проблем с европейской системой безопасности поездов производства Alstom. Компания требует срочно устранить неисправности. Когда прямое сообщение между двумя столицами возобновится, пока неизвестно.

У побережья Омана существует угроза масштабной нефтяной катастрофы. Танкер Caroline Bezengi, перевозивший около 110 тысяч тонн нефти, сел на мель у побережья Омана и дал утечку. В Германии не намерены пересматривать спорную пенсионную реформу. Глава фракции CDU/CSU Торстен Фрай заявил, что не видит возможностей для новых переговоров по пенсионному пакету. Инфляция в еврозоне вновь начала расти. По предварительной оценке Eurostat, в июле инфляция в странах еврозоны увеличилась до 2,9% в годовом выражении после 2,8% месяцем ранее. Рост оказался ожидаемым и происходит на фоне сохраняющейся экономической неопределённости. В Германии инфляция также ускорилась после завершения действия скидки на топливо.
