Government should weigh in on the ancillary benefits of electric mobility and promote it. #ClimateChange is a global issue and requires action on a mass scale. Intervention of governments is necessary
#LithiumIonBattery manufacturing is also being promoted with budgetary allocations. The state will benefit largely when companies start invesing in electric vehicle batteries.
Government of India has clearly left the Electric Vehicles Industry in the Lurch. At A time, when the nation needed impetus, Government Back tracking will not send good signals about its ambitions.

#SMEV has been proctive in taking steps to implement eectric mobility in India. Given the need of the hour, government has to be competent in this regard

Recent Indecision regarding hybrid vehicles from the government is an instance. So, The government has to remain committed to the cause of electric vehicles to give confidence to private players.
Hybrids and Plug in hybrids are a vital cog in the electric mobility drive. The government should consider giving benefits to hybrid vehicles to accelerate the adaptation of electric mobility.
