В субботу после ремонта открылся аэропорт Вологды. Были сохранены главные символы здания — модернистские мозаики, элементы навигации и декор. Как насчёт того, чтобы отправить друзьям или близким открытку с каким-нибудь симпатичным зданием после погрома? Странно звучит, но у вологжан такая возможность была: сохранилась открытка с изображением Пушкинского народного дома (сейчас - ТЮЗ) после черносотенского погрома в 1906 году

Посмотрела на днях классный документальный полный метр про праздник на востоке Вологодской области. Фильму больше 20-ти лет, был снят еще на кассету и совсем недавно был оцифрован. Основная линия – празднование 70-летнего юбилея матери и бабушки из одной большой семьи. Главная поездка этого лета - мини-экспедиция в леса Никольского района в поисках следов лагеря польских спецпереселенцев. Прошлой зимой случайно наткнулась на сайте Вологодской областной библиотеки на материалы про польских спецпереселенцев в Вологодскую область. Оказалось, что один из лагерей был и в Никольском районе. Вчера на выставке старых фотографий Никольска увидела к одному фото подпись "Первый автомобиль в городе. 1933 год". Удивилась, неужели действительно в городе так поздно появились автомобили.
