Cyprus will issue a commemorative 2-euro coin in 2024, dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of its Accession to the European Union. The only known image of its design is the low-quality one you see above. We do not yet have an exact release date, but we do know that the mintage will be 400,000 pieces, of which 7,000 will be in a proof case.
The Mint of Finland (Suomen Rahapaja) has announced that it will close its doors in the spring of 2025. Finland issued its second commemorative 2-euro coin of 2024 on August 30th. This coin is dedicated to Gesellius, Lindgren, Saarinen, a Finnish architecture firm from the early 20th century. The Vatican has unveiled the design of its second commemorative 2-euro coin for 2024, dedicated to the scientist Guglielmo Marconi on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth.
