اراد ابن طاووس (رحمه الله) أن يحقق في الروايات التي ذكرت تاريخ وفاة وشهادة الزهراء عليها السلام ليقف في النهاية على أقوى رواية ليكون العزاء والإحياء مقتصراً عليها، - ولكنه لما خلد إلى النوم رأى السيدة الطاهرة فاطمة الزهراء عليها السلام وهي تعاتبه وتقول له: - (أتستكثر عليَّ أن يُحيي الشيعةُ مصيبتي لأكثر من ليلة؟!).. - فلما استيقظ عدل عن فكرته في التحقيق، وترك الأمر كما هو جاري على العادة..
