قال أبو سعيد الخدري: دخلت على النبي ﷺ وهو محموم، فوضعت يدي فوق القطيفة فوجدت حرارة الحُمَّى فقلت: ما أشد حماك يا رسول الله! قال: «إنا كذلك معشر الأنبياء يضاعف علينا الوجع ليضاعف لنا الأجر» قلت: يا رسول الله فأي الناس أشد بلاء؟ قال: «الأنبياء» قلت: ثم من؟ قال: «ثم الصالحون إن كان ليبتلى بالفقر حتى ما يجد إلا العباءة فيجوبها ويلبسها، وإن كان أحدهم ليبتلى بالقمل حتى يقتله القمل وكان ذلك أحب إليهم من العطاء» المرض والكف…
