صناعة الصابون له طريقتان الطريقة الباردة المعالجة الباردة وتعد الطريقة الباردة من اكثر الطرق المستخدمة لصناعة الصابون الصلب المنزلي حيث تتم دون استخدام تسخين مباشر تتم العملية بمزج الزيوت مع محلول هيدروكسيد الصوديم عند درجة حرارة 40-45درجة مئوية مع التحريك المستمر حتى يكتمل التفاعل بسبة 90% يصب الخليط اللزج في قوالب ويترك ليجف لمدة 24ساعة ثم يعالج في الهواء الطلق لمدة 4-6أسابيع لكتمال التصبن وتبخر الماء الزائد
