قال ابن القيم -رحمه الله-: "من لم يكن وقتُه للهِ وبالله فالموتُ خيرٌ له من الحياة" [الداء والدواء (186)] حقيقةٌ تستوجب علينا إمعانَ النظر فيها؛ تأمّل حالك في هذه الدنيا: تقومُ وتُصبح على ماذا؟ وفيمَ تمضي جُلَّ أوقاتك؟ إن وجدتَ خيرًا، فاحمدِ الله، وإن وجدتَ غيرَ ذلك، فلا تلومنَّ إلا نفسك.
تأمَّل سرعة رجوعهم إلى الله حين تبيّن لهم الحق؛ فما ان ظهر لهم حتى آمنوا، ولم يُمهلوا أنفسهم تسويفًا، فلم يقولوا: غدًا نتوب، أو إذا قويت نفوسنا، أو إذا أمِنّا بطش فرعون.. بل خرّوا سُجّدًا، وأعلنوا إيمانهم، وثبتوا عليه، غير مبالين بما توعّدهم به فرعون من القتل والعذاب، وهكذا تكون التوبة الصادقة: ليست كلمة يجري بها اللسان، بل رجوع يظهر أثره على الجوارح، ومبادرة لا يؤخّرها التسويف، وثبات لا تهزّه المخاوف. ثم انظر كيف أت…
