Is this a different technique than using a heated bowl and scraping and working over this way? They seem to have a similar logic to them, what I assume are both steps to producing a finished product from the raw latex. Are they mutually exclusive techniques, depending on which consistency is desired? Or Are they both different steps of the same process?
