The scholar is alive even after his death, as people still benefit from his works. Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn alQayyim, Al Albāni, Ibn uthaymeen رحمهم الله etc. The ignorant, rich or poor, is dead even during his life, as he is of little tangible benefit. Seek knowledge & teach knowledge!
