ضَع خوذَتك، وخِض غمار الحياة بكل بسَالة وشجاعة، ودعني أقول لك: الخوذة رمزيَّة لأشياء كثيرة .. أول شيءٍ خطر في بالك هو خوذتك التي ستحميك وتحتاجها، ولأقول لك شيئًا آخر أهم: الخوذة لا تمنع الكدَمات، لكن تقلِّل حدَّتها وشدَّتها عليك.

ماذَا لو لَم يكُن المسافرُ .. شَخصًا؟
المشاعر الجميلة والصَّادقة، عسيرٌ أن ينساها الإنسان ولو مرَّت أيام وصوارف وعواصِف، إنَّها تظلُّ ملازمةً له كظلِّه. وإنَّ دوامَ التذكر وَجه آخر شديد الحُسنِ للوفَاء، ومِعطف شتاء دافئ في وسط لحظات سقوط الثَّلج.
تمرُّ الأشياء سريعًا .. لكِنَّ وتيرتها بطيئة، داخلك.
لا أتمالَك نفسي حينما يزورنَا المطَر، لا الأرضُ تحملني وتُقلّني من عِظم بهجتي وأنسي، أكبُّ عن نفسي كلَّ شيءٍ، ولا أفكرُ إلا فيه وبِه وبمَقدَمه، الأرضُ القاحلة تُزهر، وكل شيءٍ حولي يزدان ويزدَهر، الروح ترتوي، والخطوة الحيرى تستهدي فتهدأَ وتُهدىٰ، الضيق إلى سعةٍ ورحابة وجنان واسعة، ما المطر؟ إنه صرخةُ سعادةٍ، وإعلانُ أملٍ متجدِّد يأبى الانقضاء والزوال والانتهاء، ولا يرضَ إلا ديمومة الأمل وحسن الظَّن.
"لا أريدُ اليومَ معالجةَ أي قضيَّة، فقط أُريدُ السيرَ مسافةً أطول في البرد، مباركةً بالمطر .. رافعةً رأسي إلىٰ السماء .."

كلُّ فقد وخسارة وفراق، أقارنه بتلك الليلة التي عاشها الصحابة وكل من جاورَ الرسول صلَّى الله عليه وسلم صداقةً وحبَّا وإيمانًا وشوقًا وتصديقًا ونسبًا .. ثمَّ أصبحوا ولم يكُن فيهم، حينما أظلمت الدنيا عليهم بعد طولِ إشراقة غيَّرت مجاري حياتهم .. يهُن عندي بعدَ إعظام كلُّ شيء. «وما فقدَ الماضونَ مثل محمدِّ ولا مثله حتَّى القيامةِ يُفقدُ ..»
كلما أصبحتَ أو أمسيت، وغدوتَ وسرت لشؤونِك وحاجاتك، كلَّما مشيتَ أو سكَنت .. كنتَ قاعدًا أو ماشيًا، على أيِّ حال .. وأي وجهةٍ أنتَ فيها لا تنسَ أن تلعنَ وتحنق ويكُن فيك حَرَبٌ على من يؤذي أخًا لكَ .. كانت أقصىٰ جرائمه في عين هذا العالم الوضيع أنه آمن بالله سبحانه وصدق رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأرادَ أن يُعلن هذا، وألا تنسَ، مهما حاول هذا العالم الشنيع البائس إرغامك .. فلتأبىٰ أيَّما إباءٍ.
«إنِّي وإنْ حُزْتُ المَدى حتَّى غَدَتْ زُهْرُ الكَواكِبِ في العُلا لِيَ مَعْشَرا وَبَلَغْتُ ما أَعْيا البَرِيَّةَ نَيْلُهُ مِنْ كُلِّ فَضْلٍ إذْ دَعا مُتَخَيِّرا وَجَلَبْتُ حِذْقَ القَوْلِ إِذْ لَمْ يُجْتَلَبْ وَقَطَفْتُ رَوْضَ الفَهْمِ حَتَّى نَوَّرا لأَرَى جَميعَ الفاضِلينَ كَواكِبًا وَأَراك وَحْدَك بَدْرَ تمٍّ مُقْمِرا»..
