في سياق زيارة عاشوراء، تعني كلمتا "أسرجت" و"ألجمت" تهيئة الخيل للحرب واستعدادها للقتال. "أسرجت" تشير إلى وضع السرج على الخيل، وهو قطعة من الجلد توضع على ظهر الدابة ليركب عليها الراكب. و"ألجمت" تعني وضع اللجام في فمها لتهيئتها للركوب والتحكم بها. وهو ما يستخدم للتحكم في حركة الدابة وتوجيهها.
