در مترو نشسته بودم. روبهرویم چهرههایی بودند که هیچ تفاوتی با دیوار نداشتند. صدای حرکت قطار مثل تکرار یک فکر فرسوده در سرم می پیچید. کسی چیزی نمیگفت. فضا بوی فلز و عرق مانده میداد. حضور ما، بیشتر شبیه سایهای بود که از روی عادت حرکت میکرد، نه از روی اراده و شاید همین بود که همه چیز را تا این حد بیوزن و بیروح کرده بود.
مرد از بقالی محل بیرون آمد. دستش خالی بود. توی جیبش چند سکه بود، انقدر سبک که حسشان نمیکرد. هوا خیلی هم سرد نبود، اما بدنش یخ کرده بود. از کنار پیادهرو گذشت، صدای بحث دو نفر از پنجرهی باز یک خانه میآمد، دربارهی قیمت گوشت. ایستاد، چند لحظه گوش داد، بعد بیدلیل خندید. به خانه که رسید، بچهاش کنار بخاری خاموش نشسته بود و دفتر مشقش را ورق میزد. زن از آشپزخانه گفت: «چی آوردی؟» مرد گفت: «فقط نون.» زن گفت: «همین؟» مرد…

هر روز که از میدون اعدام راه میفتم سمت مولوی، انگار دارم از یه تونل تاریک رد میشم. پیادهرو پر از آدماییه که ظاهرا ازشون فقط پوست و استخون مونده. خمیده، دست لرزون، چشمای بیفروغ…معتادا. با این آدما که هم صحبت بشی چیزای زیادی دستگیرت میشه. طرف دندون نداره، لباساش وصلهپینست، بوی عجیبی میده، ولی یکدفعه شروع میکنه از دنیا گفتن، از آدمها، از تنهایی، از رفاقت. جوری حرف میزنه که انگار هزار تا کتاب انسان شناسی بلعیده. یسری…
