В середине девеностых годов ХХ века я несколько месяцев жил у своего двоюродного брата на Арбате (Плотников переулок). Вот одним из таких утюгов пользовалась вся коммунальная квартира. Разогревали его на газовой плите. 😁👍 Искусство глажки заключалось в том, чтобы не сжечь вещи, которые гладил. 😁😁Wi-Fi ещё не было, а беспроводные утюги уже были! 😁

А вот такой утюг возможно знаком многим. Производство угольных утюгов (утюгов, которые нагревались за счёт тлеющих углей внутри) прекратилось в 1960-х годах. Например, чугунные угольные утюги выпускались на Лидском заводе сельскохозяйственных машин («Лидсельмаш») до 1960 года. Обратите внимание на толщину стенки этих утюгов! В литейном деле всегда ценилась толщина стенки, чем тоньше, тем считается, что мастерство …

Вот этот утюг использовали портные. В те далёкие времена очень много шили вещей на заказ, массового производства, как сейчас не было. Обратите внимание на сколько изящно сделана труба отпаривателя.
