One of the attackers, a tribal militiamen, affiliated with the Syrian military (MoD) has been identified as Suleiman al Hanoush. He was killed during the firefight when the tribal militia attacked a position of the Syrian Government and killed 2 members of the Syrian 60th division.

These are the 2 martyrs. Particularly striking that they belonged to the Syrian army’s 60th division - they were still attacked and killed by the Syrian tribes, proving that the integration deal is meaningless - that the hostility by Syrians is not directed at the SDF or PKK but against the Kurdish people. It also highlights that the lowering of the flag was a meaningless event which was only used as a justification…

Eastern Region Military Media Director Hilzwar Metani: Two fighters from the Qamishlo Brigade were martyred and two others wounded in an attack on their position in the village of Tawil Harb. The attack was repelled, and the pursuit of the attackers is ongoing.

🚨URGENT/UPDATE Another Kurdish member of the 60th Division who was critically injured has fallen as a martyr. Their name and images will be officially released. Let us await the official statement. The attack was not carried out by unknown individuals, but by gangs directly supported by MIT and HTS intelligence.

🚨UPDATE Gangs in the region launched an attack using Bisvings and bombs under the guise of a tribe. 1 Kurdish member of the 60th Division has been martyred in the attack, and three others were wounded. Reinforcements were deployed to the area.

On its second day - armed Syrian Government affiliated tribal militiamen attacked a checkpoint of the public security forces (formally Asayish) south of Qamishlo. Conflicting reports about wounded personnel. These tribal militiamen are attacking Syrian government institutions and personnel, this is unacceptable behaviour.
