"الدعاء بالأسباب أبلغ في الإجابة، كمن أراد الله أن يستره فليستر مسلمًا، أو أن يَسُرَّه فليدخل السرور على مسلم، أو يرحمه الله فليرحم عباده، كما في الحديث: "الراحمون يرحمهم الرحمن". وقد أظلّتنا ليال أعظم ما يُدعى فيها: "اللهمَّ إنك عفوٌّ تُحبُّ العفوَ فاعفُ عنِّي" والعمل الصالح يرفع الكلم الطيّب، فليعف المسلم عن عباد الله يعفُ الله عنه، فذلك أبلغ في الإجابة. والله أولى بالعفو وهو أهله سبحانه.

لا تتوقف عن الدعاء لأمّتك بالهداية والنصر وللمكروبين بالفرج والتمكين، لا ترضَ القعود وقدم ما تستطيعه ولو دمعة، دمعة عجز تنجيك خير لك من إعذار نفسك بأنك لن تفيد، وتدبّر ما بين ﴿رضوا بأن يكونوا مع الخوالف﴾ وما بين ﴿تولوا وأعينهم تفيض من الدمع حزنًا﴾ من الهلاك والنجاة.
