کمکم پای جود به دسیسههای دربار باز میشه و متوجه میشه پشت تاجوتخت و روابط ظاهراً باشکوه پریان، رقابت شدیدی برای قدرت جریان داره. هر تصمیمی که میگیره میتونه روی سرنوشت خودش، خواهرهاش و حتی آیندهی سرزمین پر…
بدتر از همه، شاهزاده کاردانه؛ کوچکترین و بیرحمترین پسر پادشاه عالی. کاردان و دوستانش مدام جود رو اذیت میکنن و بهش یادآوری میکنن که هرچقدر هم بخواد شبیه پریها بشه، باز هم یک انسانه.
ده سال میگذره و جود، با اینکه یک انسان فانیه، هنوز آرزو داره جایی در این دنیای جادویی برای خودش پیدا کنه. اما پریها چندان علاقهای به انسانها ندارن و مدام به خاطر فانی بودنش تحقیرش میکنن.
داستان از جود شروع میشه؛ دختری که وقتی فقط هفت سالش بوده، همراه دو خواهرش شاهد کشتهشدن پدر و مادرش میشه. بعد از اون، هر سه خواهر توسط قاتل والدینشون به سرزمین پریان برده میشن و مجبور میشن در دربار عالی الفهیم زندگی کنن.
