📌چرا کارش انقلابی بود؟ چون قبل از کولن، الکتریسیته بیشتر یک پدیده تجربی و نمایشی بود. بعد از کولن، برق وارد دنیای ریاضیات دقیق شد. واحد بار الکتریکی (Coulomb) بعدها به افتخار او نامگذاری شد.
