宣化上人开示： 修道人，要没有邪淫的念头，也就是没有淫欲。如有丝毫淫欲念头，就不会超出三界，而仍在轮回中受生死。这个淫欲念头，就是生死的根本。若能断了它，便出三界，才能证果成果 凡是修道人，一定要把淫欲思想除掉。怎能除掉它？首先不要吃太有营养的食物。为什么？因为修道人本身的营养就够了不需要再增加。所谓：“少吃少欲，多吃多欲”。营养食物吃多了，便生淫欲的念头。 若要不淫，就要节制食欲，不贪味道、不贪多食；要锻炼身体能维持生命，就可以了。 这是修道的秘诀!否则，用山珍海味来修五脏大殿，那是破淫戒的祸根。
